The IMCC crest uses hands to resemble prayer, nurturance and labour. The sun portrays birth, hope, light and growth. The stars form the shape of a crucifix reminding us of Jesus' sacrifice as he died on the cross. They also mark the souther cross- a guiding light for navigation. The Souther cross also represent the 'Australianess' of Irene.
The motto of the college is prayer, service and justice. They are linked to uphold the faithful life of Irene McCormack. These words are expected to be upheld within a students life at the college. Students are expected to pray for family, friends and the sick. Service- students are expected to do christian service and serve the college and God. Students are expected to be equal to each other and just.
